What is the mood/atmosphere in these photos? How has it been created? Discuss in pairs then share with the class. You are learning how to create a mood or atmosphere in photography this lesson. You will then apply this to your photoshoot next lesson. YOU WILL NEED YOUR CAMERAS ON TUESDAY - PLEASE WRITE THIS DOWN! Task 1: Research and Reading!Explore these web pages. Read them and learn about how photographers capture mood or atmosphere in their work. Feel free to google the term 'how to create mood or atmosphere in photography' to extend your reading further. You have 10 minutes just for reading! You will need to write up your findings next. https://digital-photography-school.com/capture-mood-atmosphere-photos/ https://photography.tutsplus.com/articles/8-magical-methods-for-adding-mood-to-your-photos--photo-3031 https://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/creating-mood-in-photography/ https://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/photography-tips-creating-mood-with-color/ Task 2: Create a powerpoint Write up the things you have learnt from your research on how to capture mood or atmosphere in photography. The purpose of this is: 1) to use next lesson when you have to apply this research in your photoshoot. 2) to show the examiner what you understand about mood and atmosphere. The more you show them, the better your understanding will seem which will help your marks. Copying and pasting will get you no marks at all and is a complete waste of time so please don't do this. To be successful: - include images as examples of what you are talking about - use subtitles/page titles to break down the topic - give details of the techniques you have read about - use language you understand. If there's a word you don't know- look it up and use it properly if you can. - refer to your own ideas - how might these techniques be useful? when might you use them? I would expect this to be a fairly in depth PowerPoint with lots of images! Your homework is to complete this powerpoint and upload it by Tuesday's lesson.
You also need to bring in your cameras, and a torch if possible!
