Year 10 Close Up Example
First artist influence
Joni Niemela
- blurred dark background - macro close ups - Focal point is in clear focus - subject becomes abstract - high contrast |
The original photographA simple photo of a flower - not close enough to be successfully transformed into the style of Niemela. Colours will need to be changed, as will the background.
|
Introducing my second artist: Jon RistaFor higher marks, you must incorporate the styles of multiple artists/photographers. Here I have looked at the work of Jon Rista, and selected a flower photograph that has an interesting background.
I will try to incorporate the bright greens and the dark background, and combine them with the style of Niemela. |
In pairs, discuss these questions about the above experiments:
How do they show progress?
How have I linked to both artists?
How have I ensured a wide range of photoshop skills are present?
Have I met the project title to show 'Close Ups'?
What formal elements do I use and discuss in my work?
Why are the captions important?
What kind of thing to I write in the captions?
