Below are the links to the previous A-level students portfolios. You can see the amount of work they had to do to achieve their C/B grades and the specific marks. The grade boundaries are below for 2018 but they go up EVERY year! So expect them to be 2-3 marks harder for each grade. Have a look - what do you notice about the quantity and quality of photoshoots and edits for the different marks? Re-focus your project. Can you stretch out what you have been doing to last until Christmas? For the most of you, the answer will be no. It might make sense to change direction slightly to keep it interesting and to keep your ideas flowing. On paper, plan how you imagine the rest of your project going. There are 14 weeks, what do you think you will do each week to progress your project, so that it is finished by Christmas, ready for moderation and feedback? Try to be specific. You will also need a couple of weeks to write your accompanying essay (1000-3000 words). To do list:
- write up the plan for how you will redirect and refocus your project on a single powerpoint slide. You may choose to include images as examples of what you are talking about - either your own photos or found images. - Start working through your plan, starting with finding and analysing new artist(s) and planning photoshoots in their style.
