Pixlr: a great FREE alternative to Photoshop!
We have always used Photoshop in school for editing photos, and whilst it's brilliant software, it is expensive to regularly upgrade, and many students don't have it at home or struggle to access it via medhurst.
Lockdown has forced me to look for alternatives, and Pixlr is a brilliant option!
Please use the links below and watch the videos to learn how to use it - you'll see it is very similar to Photoshop, possibly even easier to use as when you hover on the buttons it tells you what they do!

Getting Started
These videos are all 2-3 minutes long. To make it easier for yourself, watch them then have a play with the software to get familiarised with it.

Techniques to try.
Use your time out of school to improve your skills. Work through the tutorials to learn new techniques - you never know what will be useful on the exam project!
**If you edit your own photographs using these techniques you can submit them for extra marks as part of your coursework! You cannot submit edits using downloaded photos (you will still learn the techniques if you do this, you just won't get marks for it)**
