Start the lesson by having a look at 2 other students portfolios. Choose people that you don't sit by so it that you are looking at new work. How is their project developing? Can you see their ideas refining from one experiment to the next? Is there anything that you can take from their presentation? (Don't copy - but perhaps the lay out, or the words they use, or the amount of experiments etc.) What does it mean to refine? - Mainly it is about improving! - Improve your technique so it is the best it can be. The highest grades will be of a 'professional' finish, with very few flaws. Your editing will be believable. - Improve your idea so it communicates a meaning. What is your work about? How will you explain it to the examiner? - Improve your links to your artists, making sure that you are bringing both artists together effectively. A couple of you might need to add an artist/change your artist to get the best possibly results. - Improve the quality of your photos - take new ones if you need to. It will make a big difference to your work! You have 8 lessons left on this project. In this time, you need to experiment further, and refine your technique, ready to produce your final outcomes. You will get the opportunity to come back to this project in year 11 to improve it, but you should be doing the best you can now to make it easier later!
This lesson, use the above list to refine your technique through further experiments. Make sure you upload and review each experiment to keep your website up to date please.
