Today's lesson will be in exam conditions again to allow some students to complete their assessment. If you have finished, read your feedback sheet. Most of you need to complete the review. Some need to complete your second picture. All of you need to begin to refine your techniques through further experiments, ready to finish this project by May half term. You have just 3 weeks! What does it mean to refine? - Mainly it is about improving! - Improve your technique so it is the best it can be. The highest grades will be of a 'professional' finish, with very few flaws. Your editing will be believable. - Improve your idea so it communicates a meaning. What is your work about? How will you explain it to the examiner? - Improve your links to your artists, making sure that you are bringing both artists together effectively. - Improve the quality of your photos - take new ones if you need to. It will make a big difference to your work! Today you will spend both lessons creating a set of mini outcomes for your assessment. To be successful you must: - Link to the experiments you have done so far - don't do something totally new. - Clearly take inspiration from TWO artists - combine their styles and techniques effectively. - Produce 2 or more pieces that link to each other as a set. They should look like they belong together, using the same techniques. - Demonstrate a high level of skill. - Upload your edited photos to your website and identify the strengths and areas for development when you are finished in a short paragraph. You may use old or new photographs, but they must be for the 'Human Figure' and relevant to your project. If you get stuck or something goes wrong...- Look back through previous work. - Refer to my website and look at the guides on your previous lessons - DO NOT GIVE UP AND START AGAIN! After uploading, write a short review... Remember: Using key words will help you get more marks! In these experiments I have linked to my artists by... The strengths of these pieces are... Going forward from here, on my next experiment I will need to develop... You will receive marks for ALL assessment criteria on this assessment. When marking your work, I will ask myself these questions: AO1: how well do you link to artists? AO2: how well do your experiments inform this piece? AO3: how well do you review the strengths and areas for development in your work? AO4: how effectively do you bring your ideas together and what level of skill do you show? Complete the table in the red book you are given to peer assess and review their assessment.
